Flag banners are obviously great marketing and branding tools both indoors and outside. Teardrop and feather flag banners have similar features, but they can be used quite differently depending on their location. They are two of the most popular flag banners so let’s take a look at their differences and how best to use them for maximum effect.
What’s is the Difference?
Feather flags are vaguely rectangular with the pole or support bending from vertical to horizontal at the top, hence the name. Our Feather Flags range in size from 2.42 metres in size for the small size, then up to 3.5 metres for the medium size, then 4.6 metres for the large size.
Teardrop flags are shaped roughly like water droplets with a big round curve at the top running down the leading edge at a 45 degree angle. The Teardrop Flag Banners come in sizes 2.2 metres for the small size, 3.5 metres for the medium size, then up to 4.6 metres for the large. Again, they have one single support pole that bends from vertical to horizontal.
Pros:
- Excellent for long-term, one location flag display
- Optional flag sizes and flag heights with the fibreglass interlocking pole system.
- Set-it-and-forget-it flag setup
- Economical signage solution
- Is printed using Solid Colours palettes
- Both Feather and Teardrop Flag Banners offer great visibility and brand awareness
- The Flag Banners can have just about any message added to them
Cons:
- Despite being portable and transportable, they do require setting up for each location. This takes just a few minutes.
- A Ground Stake is provided with each flag banner kit but requires removal and reinserting at each new site.
- They tend to have a shorter life span when left permanently out on display (day and night)
Best Uses:
- Great for stand out advertising campaigns
- To draw attention to passers by
- Showcasing Apartment Complexes and New Homes for sale or lease
- Can be installed for Long Term promotions
Shared Benefits
Both are lightweight and can be set up in minutes by just one person (but it’s a bit easier and quicker with two people). They both come with a ground spike but share the same stand options for indoor use and weights to stop falling if it’s windy. Each flag comes with its own carry bag for easy transport and storage.
Both feather and teardrop flag banners can have single or double-sided printing options to maximise the coverage of your marketing which should be considered when buying either option.
Best Uses for Feather and Teardrop Flag Banners
They both work well as semi-permanent or permanent fixtures and both are lightweight and easy to use. They are best suited indoors at events, receptions, display booths, near your products on display and certainly as highly visible markers for outside locations such as houses for sale in the real estate market, but also in car parks and other outdoor locations to show your presence and indicate to everyone that they are in the right place.
